Antonio Conte could make a shock return to football management with AC Milan.
Less than three weeks after he was brutally sacked by Chelsea, the 48-year-old could be back in for a top job.
According to the Daily Express, AC Milan are prepared to offer Conte a whopping £5.5million a year to replace Gennaro Gattuso as boss.
This is despite the Rossoneri only appointing Gattuso on a long-term deal in April.
The only problem to the deal being wrapped up concerns two lots of compensation payments.
Conte is embroiled in a legal battle with old employers Chelsea over a pay-off, and of course Gattuso would have to have his deal paid up too.

Conte left the West London club on bad terms as Roman Abramovich sacked him in favour of compatriot Maurizio Sarri, and the pair are still clashing over the terms of his potential £9million severance package.
But the Premier League and FA Cup winner, who also lifted THREE consecutive Serie A trophies with Juventus, could now be in line for another Italian job after enjoying a luxury holiday with his stunning wife.
It’s said that the Milan hierarchy do not have full confidence in Gattuso’s powers, despite handing him a contract until 2021 just four months ago.
The former San Siro midfielder had managed to turn things around as an interim boss in the wake of Vincenzo Montella’s exit.
But despite guiding Milan to a Europa League finish, Gattuso may not get the chance to build on his potential.
