LIVERPOOL new boy Fabinho has urged former Monaco team-mate Kylian Mbappe to join him at Anfield.
The France wonderkid’s stock continues to rise after putting himself in the record books following a sensational World Cup.
Mbappe, 19, is gearing up for his second season at Paris Saint-Germain following his £161million switch.
He has become one of the most sought-after players in world football after being likened to Brazil legend Pele.
And his close mate Fabinho joked that he will do his best to slowly convince Mbappe that his future belongs in Liverpool.
Speaking to the Echo, the Brazilian said: “Kylian Mbappe sent me a text message congratulating me on going to Liverpool,
“I have not had the chance to congratulate him yet on what he did winning the World Cup.
“What France did was fantastic. What Mbappe has done in two years of professional football is amazing.
“He is a phenomenon and needs to be congratulated. As soon as I have the chance, I will.”
“He has already said for the next season he will remain at PSG,” laughs Fabinho. “But I will try slowly to convince him to come to Liverpool!”
Liverpool’s hopes of signing Mbappe are slim to none with PSG refusing to cash in on their world star.
The French champions are so keen to hold onto the rapid forward that they could be willing to cash in on Neymar.
SunSport reported last month that Real are willing to splash out up to £307m to snare Neymar this summer.
