Fulham aren’t wasting any time settling into Premier League life.
Barely six weeks after clinching promotion on that dramatic play-off final day at Wembley, they’re already rubbing shoulders with the big boys.
That’s because they’ve announced today, against all odds, the signing of Nice’s Ivory Coast midfielder Jean-Michael Seri for roughly £35m.
The Premier League new boys have beaten a host of European sides, including Barcelona and Chelsea, to the signing of the combative midfielder.
And his highly-rated Nice team-mate Maxime Le Merchand is joining him too.

Fulham have been looking for extra grit in the middle of their talented team and it is a major coup to land the player who helped Nice to an eighth-placed finish in France.
Le Marchand is a surprise extra. He can play left back and centre half and will become part of Slavisa Jokanovic’s squad.
The 28-year-old was a key member of the Ligue 1 side last season having started 29 league matches and five in the Europa League.
Seri could be a real asset not only for Fulham, but also for your Dream Team this season and we will profile him in the coming days.
