PSG ‘to make £265m offer for Cristiano Ronaldo’

But Real Madrid may well test the French champions' resolve for their star man, Neymar

PSG are reportedly plotting a £265million bid for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

While the 33-year-old is currently out in Russia starring for Portugal in the World Cup, transfer speculation back home continues.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the French champions are prepared to pay Ronaldo £40m A SEASON.

Real Madrid do not seem to be prepared to offer anywhere near that amount in a new contract, with the player reportedly expecting to earn as much as old foe Lionel Messi.

And of course PSG have money to burn – but may have to ship a fair few out in order to satisfy Financial Fair Play.

This could in turn alert Real Madrid to PSG’s big star Neymar, who has himself being rumoured to want a return to La Liga.

SunSport reported yesterday that Manchester United are keen on a sensational swoop to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.

Italian newspaper Libero is reporting that the striker may be set to move back to Old Trafford after this summer’s tournament.

Ronaldo has allegedly taken an “irreversible” decision to leave Real Madrid.

Comments he made immediately after the Champions League final victory suggested his time at the Bernabeu had come to an end.

Speculation then grew in the subsequent weeks with reports Florentino Perez and the club’s board were furious with the timing of the remarks.

And Record insists Ronaldo, 33, has made up his mind to leave the European champions.

He currently earns around £350,000-a-week at Real Madrid, but that pales in comparison to Neymar’s weekly wage of £619,000, while Messi pockets a staggering £673,000 every seven days.
