Inter Milan are monitoring Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta, according to reports in Italy.
The full-back moved to Stamford Bridge from Torino last summer for £25million.
However, the 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact in West London playing second fiddle to first-choice wing-back Victor Moses.
The Italian international made more appearances in the cup competitions as Antonio Conte’s title defence crumbled.
And with Conte set to leave the Blues, Zappacosta could make a swift return to Italy to revive his career.
Tuttosport reckon Inter are willing to hand the defender a Serie A lifeline on loan, with a view to permanent deal next summer.
Inter boss Luciano Spalletti wants to add another right-back to his ranks with on loan Valencia star Joao Cancelo who is on the verge of a permanent switch to Juventus.
Chelsea have begun talks with the San Siro outfit and will look to claw back as much of the £25m shelled out last year.
Zappacosta’s last game for Chelsea came against Huddersfield in the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, with him missing out on the FA Cup final win over Manchester United at Wembley.
His only goal for the side in the league came against Stoke City in a 5-0 hammering, while he opened his account for the Blues in the Champions League victory over Qarabag in September.
