West Ham have £33m bid rejected for Brazilian midfielder

The Hammers have targeted the Brazilian midfielder, 25, after Manuel Pellegrini took over at the London Stadium last month but they are understood to be around £10m short in their offer

WEST HAM’S £33million bid for Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson has been rejected by Lazio, according to reports.

The Brazilian midfielder has emerged as a target for new Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini after he took over at the London Stadium last month.

Anderson fell out with boss Simone Inzaghi early last season, but returned to the first-team fold to make a significant impact.

Lazio were one of Serie A’s entertainers last term and managed to dazzle, but ultimately fell short in their chase for Europe.

Since signing for the Italian side in 2013 for £6.8m, he has scored 34 goals and created 42 assists.
