DANNY WELBECK may be swapping north London for Istanbul by making the surprise move to Besiktas, according to reports.
Despite having a year on his contract, the 27-year-old has been touted as a replacement for Anderson Talisca for the Turkish side.
Besiktas are looking for a someone to fill a void as the prolific striker, Talisca, could well be moving to the Premier League now his stint on loan in Turkey has come to an end.

Having enjoyed time at top English clubs including both Manchester United and Arsenal, a move to Turkey would be a dramatic change for the England international.
According to Fotospor, the Super Lig side have Welbeck at the top of their wishlist, despite his recurrent injuries.
The forward’s time at Arsenal has been plagued by injury issues, but this season he has clocked up 28 appearances and scored six goals across all competitions.
Arsenal and Unai Emery specials for 2018/19 season
Earlier this year Arsene Wenger had spoken of his desire to keep Welbeck at the Emirates, he said: “I want to keep him because I believe he has gone through a torrid time.
“He has come out well. I see signs in training now that are positive. If he can stay on the pitch and not be injured, I want him to stay here.
“I like him because he can play left, right or up front.”
However, with Unai Emery now taking the reins, there could well be a shake up within the Arsenal team.
Welbeck was a surprise inclusion in the England squad for many, but does bring international experience to an otherwise youthful team.

Welbeck had been axed from Gareth Southgate’s squad for the November friendlies against Brazil and Germany, but was brought back into the fold for the Holland fixture earlier this year.
The forward has surprisingly good form on the international stage and has found the back of the net 15 times in 37 internationals.
