Steven Gerrard is planning a double raid on the Premier League for Jermain Defoe and Dominic Solanke, according to the Daily Record.
The Rangers boss wants firepower to help him challenge Celtic’s domestic dominance.
And Bournemouth veteran Defoe, 35, and 20-year-old Liverpool ace Solanke are being targeted for loan deals.
Defoe has endured a frustrating campaign in Bournemouth – starting just 13 games due to his injury woes.
He is happy with the Cherries but Gerrard, 37, could offer his former international team-mate a chance to prolong his career north of the border.
And can you just imagine how many goals Defoe would score in Scotland?
Solanke, meanwhile, has struggled for game time behind the red-hot trio of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Liverpool are in the market for more attacking options, with Nabil Fekir and Manuel Lanzini linked.
And Jurgen Klopp could decide to give Solanke the regular first-team football he has been craving since coming through Chelsea’s academy.
Gerrard enjoys strong ties with his former club and Anfield chiefs are likely to be eager to do business with the Reds legend.
The Ibrox chief has is also considering former team-mate Martin Skrtel, 33, to sure up his defence but the centre-back has a year left on his deal with Fenerbahce.
