Now he is set to be unveiled by the Gers after agreeing a four-year contract.
The Scottish Premiership giants have called a press conference for midday to announce his arrival.
Former Falkirk ace Arfield will be paraded this afternoon then link up with his new team-mates for pre-season this summer.
SunSport revealed last month how the Canadian international emerged as the Ibrox club’s No1 target.
Arfield – believed to be earning around £20,000 a week with the Premier League outfit – has made 18 appearances for Sean Dyche’s side this season.
He came through Falkirk’s youth academy, making his Bairns debut in 2007 before heading south of the border to join Huddersfield three years later.
The 29-year-old enjoyed three campaigns with the Terriers before moving to Burnley.
Now he is set to spearhead Gerrard’s Ibrox revolution as the Gers attempt to wrestle back the title from bitter rivals Celtic.
