Arsenal just love a costly defensive error.
Konstantinos Mavropanos (try saying that after you’ve had a few) has shown promising signs in the handful of games he’s played for Arsenal.
The Greek centre back was heaped with praise after he recently pocketed Romelu Lukaku at Old Trafford and followed that up with a strong performance against Burnley on Sunday.
Mavropanos was sent crashing down to reality however after he was shown a straight red card against Leicester for fouling Kelechi Iheanacho.
The defender took too long on the ball at the back.
Iheanacho took advantage of his indecision and poked the ball away.
Mavropanos then does the worst thing possible by pulling the striker down.
Rob Holding was getting over on the cover, so maybe it’s in that ‘orange card’ category?
He ends up eating grass… yum.
The face of a guilty man.
Mavropanos also played his part in Leicester’s opening goal after he failed to clear his lines before Iheanacho scored.
Certainly a day to forget for the Arsenal man.
