Edinson Cavani has reportedly agreed to replace Antoine Griezmann at Atletico Madrid.
Mundo Deportivo claims the Paris Saint-Germain striker will be on the move this summer after falling out with Neymar.
Meanwhile, Atletico are resigned to losing Antoine Griezmann after he reportedly struck a deal with Barcelona.
But Diego Simeone believes he has landed a top replacement in Cavani, who has apparently agreed a deal in principle to move to the Wanda Metropolitano.
The 31-year-old hitman has also been linked with Chelsea as the Blues look to shift Alvaro Morata.
But it seems Cavani is destined for Atletico after being swayed by Uruguay team-mates Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez.
He is apparently looking forward to forging a deadly partnership with Diego Costa in attack.
And future boss Simeone reckons he will have a team capable of challenging Barcelona for their La Liga crown next season, with Cavani even agreeing to take a huge hit on his wages.
The report adds that Atletico initially moved for Juventus’ younger forward Paulo Dybala instead.

But a deal collapsed due to the high asking price for the 24-year-old, which is said to be more than the £89million Atleti will receive when Barca meet Griezmann’s release clause.
