Anthony Martial has been given the green light to join Juventus, according to reports.
The Manchester United striker has been linked with a summer exit after falling down the Old Trafford pecking order.
Tuttosport claim Jose Mourinho has approved a move to Italian champions Juve.
Any deal would need to be rubber stamped by the United board but Mourinho has been well supported by the club’s top brass since joining in 2016.
Martial, 22, lost his place in the team after Alexis Sanchez’s January arrival.
Mourinho ripped into him and fellow forward Marcus Rashford after United’s 1-0 defeat at Brighton.
He blasted: “You have the answer now when you ask ‘why always Lukaku?
“We are probably not as good as people think we are individually.”
United also have a player-plus-cash deal with Chelsea on the cards which would see Willian and Martial swap clubs.
Mourinho was desperate to hold onto Martial last summer when Inter Milan demanded him in exchange for winger Ivan Perisic.
Despite more than doubling the four Premier League goals he scored last season, Martial’s performances this time round have not impressed Mourinho enough to stick with him.
Robert Pires urged his countryman to join Arsenal and get his career back on track.
He said: “I’m a big fan of Anthony Martial. He’s very fast, he has excellent dribbling skills and he has the potential to score a lot of goals, but I think he has to play more football.
“I don’t know why he isn’t playing more for Manchester United and Jose Mourinho needs to show more confidence in him. I would welcome him at Arsenal.”
Martial’s agent was coy over the player’s future when asked in March.
He said: “Will [Martial] stay in Manchester in the summer? I’m sorry but at the moment I cannot say anything else about it.
“His goal is to win the FA Cup and to cement second place in the Premier League with United to qualify for next season’s Champions League.”
