Fans flocked to Twitter to voice their frustration after the programme ended just minutes after the final whistle.

Viewers were eagerly awaiting for the pundit’s to dissect the match, but before they knew it Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong was firing away questions.

One fan branded the BBC as a “disgrace” after it prioritised a repeat of a Pointless Celebrity Special for the prime time slot.

For those who do not know, Pointless is a British quiz show which features teams of contests that have to find obscure answers.

The celebrity special included the likes of former Olympian Mark Foster and ex-girlfriend of Sven Goran Eriksson Nancy Dell’Olio.

“FA cup semi final, 5 minutes of post match analysis then off for pointless celebrities.

Fans will not have worry about the abrupt end tomorrow as Chelsea’s semi-final clash against Southampton is on BT Sport.
