Ahead of the game against Watford he told the club website: “Crystal Palace is my home town and the support we have here is genuine support.

“It’s families watching with their kids loving us as players so I don’t really see myself anywhere else.

“I am enjoying my football here and just focused on us being a stable club and not having to listen to all the speculation about us getting relegated.”

The Eagles have picked up four points from the last two league games to leave them five points above the drop zone.

Zaha added: “I have felt that with the performances we have been producing that eventually the results were going to come.

“I have had faith in the team but obviously the injuries didn’t help but now we are showing what we are capable of.”

Palace can assure their top flight status with another two wins.

After facing Watford, the Eagles welcome Leicester City to Selhurst Park followed by a trip to bet365 stadium to play Stoke.
