Man City’s two summer transfer targets will make them truly unbeatable

The Citizens could splash out even more money on some of Europe's biggest names after winning the Premier League title at a canter

Man City could reinforce their squad even further – with Kylian Mbappe and Thiago Alcantara topping Pep Guardiola’s wishlist.

According to reports, the pair are the main targets for the Premier League winners this summer, but Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha is also on their radar.

Mbappe, 19, is set to star for France at this summer’s coming World Cup, while Alcantara, 27, has been a key signing for Bayern Munich and should be one of Spain’s main stars in the summer.

According to Sky Sports, Guardiola is keen to get his business done by the start of the tournament in Russia on June 14, bearing in mind a shortened summer window.

The Catalan bossed Alcantara at Barcelona and Munich, while acutely aware the midfield trio of David Silva, Yaya Toure and Fernandinho are all over the age of 30.

They could be helped by the fact that Uefa are probing Mbappe’s club Paris Saint-Germain over Financial Fair Play.

The teen sensation has played at PSG on loan from Monaco this season, in a move that is set to become permanent.

But the Qatari-bankrolled club could be forced to sell Mbappe if Uefa are not satisfied they have fulfilled FFP’s strict criteria.

Zaha would be a controversial signing, given he played briefly for Manchester United during David Moyes’ doomed reign, but would fancy another try at a Champions League club.

The Ivory Coast international has been in superb form for Crystal Palace this season, with the Eagles set to avoid the drop to the Championship with one or two more wins this term.
