But out of no where, the Potters grabbed an equaliser thanks to an awful mistake from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
On the 57th minute, Stoke’s Xherdan Shaqiri’s booted it up field towards Mame Biram Diouf, but Lloris looked to have it covered – coming off his line to clear.
But somehow, the Frenchman manages to blast his clearance straight at the on-rushing Diouf, who’s then able to strike it into the open net.
Annoyingly for Spurs fans, this isn’t the first time Lloris has mucked up.
Playing for France against Colombia last month, the shot-stopper was at fault when he allowed Luis Muriel to score in a surprise 3-2 defeat.
He was also slated last weekend when he allowed Chelsea to score the opener, failing to claim a cross and leaving Alvaro Morata to head home.
Still, Spurs took only a couple of minutes to equalise against Stoke, with Christian Eriksen netting his second of the game.
