Thomas Tuchel has reportedly held talks with Chelsea over replacing Antonio Conte.
The ex-Borussia Dortmund chief, 44, has been strongly linked with Arsenal, although Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also been touted.
But according to Rafa Honigstein, the Blues are still in the hunt as Stamford Bridge bigwig Marina Granovskaia was impressed by Tuchel.
He told the Totally Football Show: “I have it on pretty good authority that Thomas Tuchel made a very good impression on Marina Granovskaia in a meeting they’ve had.
“I don’t know how recent that meeting was.
“Remember, they were talking to him before the start of this season on the assumption that Conte might actually go.”
Chelsea’s long-term interest adds another interested party to an already complex situation.
Most reports in Germany insist Tuchel has told Bayern he has already agreed terms with another European club.
Arsenal were the first to be named, before Bild suggested PSG had won the race for the ex-Dortmund chief.
Sky Sports, meanwhile, are suggesting Bayern remain an option – adding that Bavaria is Tuchel’s preferred destination.
