MOHAMED SALAH fired Egypt to the World Cup for the first time since 1990 last October, and his popularity shows no signs of slowing down.
The 25-year-old has been the talk of everyone’s lips since joining Liverpool from Roma, but his next goal for the Reds will be making all of Egypt talk.
Vodafone Egypt have announced they will give customers 11 minutes of free talk time for every goal the former Chelsea man scores until the end of the campaign.
According to their website, the telecommunications company boasts 43 million active subscribers, with the average price for a phone call at around 25p.
This would cost Vodafone in excess of £100million for EVERY goal Salah nets, and after his four-goal haul against Watford on Saturday, he shows no signs of slowing down.
Customers must sign up to the tariff plan called “Mo Salah World” in order to receive the bonuses.
Salah has been nothing short of a revelation since rejoining the Premier League last summer, netting 36 goals in 41 games in all competitions.
While he has also registered 12 assists – helping Liverpool to sit third in the table while also spearheading them into the Champions League quarter-finals where they will face Manchester City.
His startling form has led him to be linked with a world-record £200m move to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the next transfer window.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp recently declared that Salah is edging closer to being on the same level as Lionel Messi.
Salah is currently with the Egyptian national side, as they prepare for their upcoming international friendlies against Portugal and Greece.
Liverpool face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in their next outing on March 31, before their quarter-final first leg against the Citizens at Anfield on April 4.
