Premier League giants to face EACH OTHER in Champions League quarter-finals

We're guaranteed to see an English side in the semi-finals of the competition after Liverpool drew Man City in the last eight

We’ve reached the last eight of the Champions League, with only Liverpool and Man City the remaining sides representing the Premier League in the competition.

Man United, Spurs and Chelsea were all knocked out in the last-16, with United surely the most disappointed of the lot after their defeat to Sevilla.

Jose Mourinho’s side ended up losing 2-0 at Old Trafford during the week, while Spurs were unlucky to fall to Juventus after their heroics in Turin, and Chelsea could do nothing to keep out the might of Lionel Messi and Barcelona.

But City and Liverpool will be buoyed by their performances in Europe and will have one eye on progressing to the semi-finals, especially after drawing EACH OTHER in the last eight of the competition.

The sides played out a thrilling clash back in January in the league, which the Reds won 4-3 to inflict Pep Guardiola’s first league defeat of the season.

Elsewhere, Juventus will go up against Real Madrid in the other eye-catching fixture, with last year’s final essentially getting a replay.

Interesting to note that their head-to-head record is pretty even, with Juve having won eight, lost nine and drawn two of their previous encounters, with each team netting 22-times.

Keep an eye on that one for sure.
