Hundreds of thousands of votes were cast by supporters on Inter’s official website whilst national and international newspapers also had their say.
And the results are unbelievably satisfying.
Inter unveiled one player from each position – and we can’t really have any arguments about any of them.
Walter Zenga
The iconic former Italian goalkeeper was part of their famous 1988/89 Serie A winning side, whilst he also won Player ofthe Year the season before.
Upon collecting the award Zenga said: “My childhood dream has become a reality.
“I used to go the stadium and I only wanted to watch Inter. This prize is a unique feeling for me!”
Javier Zanetti
Mr Inter Milan, Zanetti spent nearly 20 years as a mainstay in Serie A – and his hair barely ever changed.
Zanetti captained Inter to five successive Italian league titles and lifted the Champions League under Jose Mourinho in 2009/10.
Lothar Matthäus
The German great was another member of that 1988/89 title winning side and claimed his four years at Inter were the ‘most emotional’ of his glittering 20-year career.
Ronaldo
The original goal machine, his five years at Inter really took him to another level before Real Madrid swooped to sign him in 2002.
He said: “The generations before me helped me become what I am now. They were idols and provided a lot of incentive.
If your club had four players to induct into a Hall of Fame, who would they be?
