A match-winning strike from Anthony Martial against Liverpool might be priceless to Man United supporters… but it will cost the club nearly £9m.
The French forward is in a race against time to be fit for the crunch showdown at Old Trafford tomorrow.
But his former side Monaco will also have an eye on whether he returns to Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up due to a potential cash windfall.
The reigning French champions received £38m upfront from the Red Devils when he moved to Manchester in the summer of 2015.
But a number of add-ons were included in that deal, including one depending on his goal output.
United will have to pay another instalment of £8.9m when the 22-year-old hits his 25th Premier League goal.
He is currently stuck on 24 ahead of the game against the Reds, who he scored against on his memorable debut back in September 2015.
Meanwhile, United are planning to hold fresh contract talks with Martial.
His current deal expires next year and Juventus have been linked with a swoop for the attacker.
