The reason Barcelona no longer want to sign Hector Bellerin

Reports in Spain claim that £50million-rated Bellerin, 22, wants to move back to his boyhood club but they are willing to stick with Nelson Semedo for another season

HECTOR BELLERIN is reportedly trying to secure a move to Barcelona in the summer — but the club do not want him.

The Arsenal defender had a falling out with boss Arsene Wenger after being dropped for the 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Sunday.

But the report also says Barca are willing to stick with Neslon Semedo at right-back for another season.

Bellerin is understood to believe he is being made a scapegoat for Arsenal’s dreadful run of form.

The Spanish international was involved in a bust-up with Arsenal FanTV after criticising the loyalty of supporters who appear on the YouTube channel.

Bellerin is currently out injured after picking up a knee injury in training and will miss the Europa League first-leg against AC Milan.

Wenger said: “Hector hasn’t travelled… he has an inflammation of his left knee. Some ligament damage.

“He has to spend the afternoon in the hospital to see why he is in so much pain.

“It doesn’t look a long-term problem. He tried but couldn’t absorb the training session so we left him at home.”
