Paul Pogba’s performance against Crystal Palace leaves Man United fans furious

Twitter was a place full of angry United fans as they watched their team put in a poor display against Crystal Palace

This was not a good look for Man United.

After seeing Man City put in one of the most assured displays of the season against Chelsea yesterday, their fans were hoping for something similar.

But instead of commanding possession against Crystal Palace, the team consistently gave it away and left holes in midfield.

And going by the fury of the fans on social media it looks like Paul Pogba was the biggest culprit.

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher singled him out for Crystal Palace’s goal as he played a hollywood pass over 80 yards which eventually led to Andros Townsend scoring thanks to a deflection.

It was the first time the Eagles have ever been ahead against United in a Premier League game.

Time after time during the first half United’s £89million midfielder looked like he was playing in a playground according to the pundits as he sprayed lazy pass after pass far beyond teammates, straight to the opposition or just out of play.

United’s other most high profile player on the pitch Alexis Sanchez looked equally poor as he demanded possession but gave it away a whopping 19 times in the first half.

With United 1-0 down, Mourinho had to do something to stop them losing three away games without scoring for the first time since 1981 and threw Marcus Rashford on in place of Scott Mctominay.

But the fans still fumed about the big names.
