The Frenchman's children have been asking him why the Gunners were so bad after two 3-0 defeats to Man City

The Frenchman’s emotional response came after his children had asked their dad why Arsenal were so bad — a question repeated by many fans in recent times.

Arsene Wenger was not invited to the meeting amid doubts over his future.

It’s being reported that Arsenal’s board no longer believe their experienced manager is the right man to lead the club.

However, majority shareholder Stan Kroenke, who has a good relationship with Wenger, has made it clear he will have the final say on the matter.

Arsenal have been beaten 3-0 by City twice in five days with Pep Guardiola’s side emphatically confirming their superiority in the League Cup final and Thursday night’s Premier League fixture.

The Gunners are sixth in the Premier League — 30 points behind leaders City having lost nine times already this season.

This is quite a journey actually…

It is also claimed another player in the team meeting said his team-mates needed more help from the coaches.

Sources claim Wenger has told friends he will not quit and is determined to see out his contract to the end of next season.

But Arsenal are staring at the prospect of another season without Champions League football with their season hinging on their Europa League campaign.

Come on lads, do it for Koscielny, the big lad has shed too many tears already.
