Leroy Sane is almost single-handedly destroying Hector Bellerin’s career

The flying Man City winger has terrorised the Arsenal full back every time they've clashed

Is there anyone you’re completely sick of the sight of?

In footballing terms, Fernando Torres was like kryptonite to Nemanja Vidic with the Manchester United centre-back sent off a whopping four times against the Spanish striker.

And Hector Bellerin and Leroy Sane’s rather one-sided rivalry is going the same way.

Man City inflicted a second 3-0 defeat on Arsenal in the space of four days on Thursday night with some simply sumptuous football.

Sane deservedly collected the man of the match award, scoring once and assisting another.

Now Bellerin hasn’t had a great season but he’s far from a bad defender; quick, agile and typically composed.

But every time the Spaniard has come face to face with Sane the flying German winger has almost reduced him to Sunday League level.

It was at this moment he knew his career was over

Last season, Sane outpaced his marker to score in the 2-2 draw at the Emirates – but this campaign is where his superiority has really shown.

City have beaten Arsenal three times in 2017/18, scoring at least three goals on each occasion.

And Sane’s success against Bellerin has played a huge role in those victories, constantly outwitting him and beating him for speed.

Giving up altogether?

In the Carabao Cup final on Sunday Sane would regularly go to the byline, but in Thursday night’s win Sane switched it up by cutting inside more.

It left Bellerin bamboozled, setting up Bernardo Silva’s opener before beating him again to poke home a goal of his own.

Bellerin will just be grateful he won’t have to face his nemesis again this season.
