Ian Wright reckons Arsene Wenger’s squad is not good enough and the boss needs a big overhaul this summer.
SunSport’s Mark Irwin weighs in on who should stay and who should go…
PETR CECH: Keeper is 35 and starting to show his age but is also one of the few strong characters in the squad. STAY
DAVID OSPINA: Good enough for a back-up keeper but the Colombian is never going to win you the league. STAY
HECTOR BELLERIN: Has not progressed like he should have but, at 22, it is surely still too early to write him off. STAY
SHKODRAN MUSTAFI: Too slow and makes far too many mistakes when he is put under pressure. GO!
LAURENT KOSCIELNY: The skipper is not the force he once was but remains Arsenal’s most reliable defender. STAY
PER MERTESACKER: German retires at the end of season, anyway, but is too slow to start any more games. GO!
CALUM CHAMBERS: Confidence is shot to pieces and looks like he is an accident waiting to happen. GO!
ROB HOLDING: Struggling to convince that he does have what it takes but still worth persevering with. STAY
NACHO MONREAL: Says it all about Arsenal that the Spaniard has been their best player this season. STAY
SEAD KOLASINAC: Signed to huge fanfare last summer . . . until Wenger realised he cannot play at full-back. GO!
GRANIT XHAKA: Cannot tackle and can only pass sideways — yet Wenger still picks him every week. GO!
AINSLEY MAITLAND-NILES: Impressed in his breakthrough season. Now the 20-year-old needs to keep progressing. STAY
AARON RAMSEY: Needs to be fit on a more regular basis if he is to become the player he thinks he is. STAY
JACK WILSHERE: Finally fit after all his injuries and the only Arsenal player who looks like he really cares. STAY
MOHAMED ELNENY: Unlucky not to get a regular run, provides much-needed discipline in midfield. STAY
MESUT OZIL: Arsenal have to keep him after going to such effort getting the German to sign a new contract. STAY
ALEX IWOBI: Midfielder has gone backwards this season and maybe needs to find a new challenge. GO!
ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE: Difficult to see where the striker fits in at the Emirates now Aubameyang is on board. GO!
HENRIKH MKHITARYAN: Newest arrival must not be allowed to drift in and out of games like Ozil. STAY
PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG: Far too early to judge him but the club’s record buy needs to start scoring quickly. STAY
DANNY WELBECK: Too many injuries mean the England striker has lost his confidence and lost his way. GO!
