Salah’s remarkable first season at Liverpool is showing no signs of slowing down as he continues to score almost at will.

And the Reds’ 4-1 win over West Ham at the weekend produced a special landmark for the ‘Egyptian King’.

Salah’s strike – firing through the legs of Aaron Cresswell into the bottom corner – was his 31st in all competitions this season.

That quite amazingly draws him level with Luis Suarez’s best ever goalscoring campaign at Liverpool, with the Uruguayan also bagging 31 in the entirety of the 2013/14 season.

Suarez famously nearly inspired the Reds to their first ever Premier League title that year, winning the PFA Player of the Year award for his efforts.

Salah’s heroics still might not be enough for him to bag that accolade this season given the continued brilliance of Kevin De Bruyne at Man City.

It must be said that, because Liverpool weren’t involved in Europe that season Suarez excelled, their records are identical, scoring 31 goals in 37 games.

But for Salah to already join such esteemed company some three months before the end of the campaign is phenomenal.

He’s not even a striker…
