Another game, another beautiful team goal from Napoli.
No change there then.
Let’s go back to 10 February when Piotr Zielinski put the finishing touches on a simply sublime passing move against Lazio.
Eight days later and Maurizio Sarri’s side are back at it again, this time against Serie A strugglers Spal.
Within six passes the ball was zipped from a nonthreatening position to the back of the net.
Midfielder Allan was the lucky recipient of Jose Callejon’s final pass, slotting past the goalkeeper to put Napoli 1-0 up.
More triangles than a GCSE maths class about Pythagoras.
Napoli are involved in a tug-of-war with Juventus for pole position in Serie A, with Massimiliano’s side beating Torino in the Turin derby.
The two sides meet on 22 April in what could be a title-deciding game.
Juventus won the first meeting in December, with Gonzalo Higuain’s goal settling the game.
But given Juve have won the last six Serie A championships it would be nice to see Napoli pick up a title for the sake of variation.
If they keep scoring beautiful goals every week they won’t be far off.
