According to MEN, Bailly is set to be back training at Carrington on Friday.

And that could see him come into contention for a place on the bench against Sevilla next Wednesday.

This Saturday’s FA Cup fifth-round game with Huddersfield will come too early.

Bailly came back from Ivory Coast in October with a groin injury but was back in against for the 1-0 win over Spurs a fortnight later.

Although second, the club’s title hopes are over – 16 points back from neighbours Manchester City.
