Dani Alves plays in goal for PSG after Kevin Trapp is sent off in French Cup

The legendary Brazilian right-back donned the gloves for the final few moments following Trapp's dismissal

You’ve probably noticed by now that we are men of simply pleasures here at Dream Team.

And nothing gets our juices flowing quite like an outfield player having to go in goal.

Last night in the French Cup round of 16, Dani Alves briefly donned the gloves for PSG after Kevin Trapp had been sent off.

The German keeper was shown a red card in the last minute with Unai Emery having used all his allotted subs, the legendary Brazilian right-back did the honourable thing and volunteered for a quick shift between the sticks.

Alves wasn’t forced to make a save but did have to organise a wall for a Sochaux free-kick in a threatening position.

He was only in goal for a minute or so but looked far more capable than Simon Mignolet and/or Loris Karius.

Angel Di Maria scored a hat-trick as PSG beat the Ligue 2 side 4-1 to reach the quarter-finals.

The Argentine winger headed home a Kylian Mbappe cross in the first minute but the hosts levelled soon after.

Edinson Cavani got his customary goal halfway through the first half to settle the nerves and barring Alves’ stint in goal, it was a another comfortable night for the Parisian giants.

Neymar was given the night off so he could continue to recover from his birthday party at the weekend.

He’s got a good gig, hasn’t he?
