When AIK released their new home kit it was so well received that their website crashed.
Well the internet boffins at AIK better get ready for another hard slog because their new away kit is equally as special.
Sometimes less is more.
The away shirt pays homage to the kit worn by AIK when the club won their first Swedish league title in 1900.
It includes the badge designed in 1898 by Fritz Carlsson-Carlings which went on to be voted the most beautiful badge in football.
It’s not hard to see why.
AIK went on to win 11 Swedish championships and eight Swedish cups, the last of which came in 2009.
While their league campaign has yet to get underway Rikard Norling’s side are already out of Europe, having lost to Braga in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
Given how nice their home and away kits are we feel they should instantly be reinstalled in the Europa League.
In fact scrap that, kick someone out of the Champions League and get AIK on Europe’s biggest stage.
Unfortunately both the kits are currently sold out, which is unsurprising.
But if you needed any more reason to love AIK then how about the fact the club have retired the no.1 shirt in honour of the fans?
Just take our money already.
