Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang might have to change his Twitter handle.
Arsenal have a new man that is taking all the sevens available at the club shop.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan will line up for Arsenal in the Premier League wearing the no.7 shirt after it was vacated by a certain Chilean who now plays for Man United.
And Sanchez is still causing mayhem at the Emirates despite jumping ship in January.
Mkhi will have to pick a new number to wear in the Europa League because of Sanchez.
But why can’t he wear the same shirt in the league and Europe?
Well it’s all because of Sanchez.
Arsenal’s former hero has already worn seven for Arsenal in the Europa League this season and the rules state that the same number cannot be worn by two different players in one season.
Luckily, we can tell you which number the Armenian is going to wear in Europe’s second tier competition and it suggest the number seven might be his lucky number.
It was announced this morning that Mkhitaryan is going to double up on his sevens and wear no.77 for games against such European giants like Sweden’s Ostersunds and whoever else the Gunners play if they get through that one.
Ah, Aubameyang, glad you joined?
So not only will Mkhitaryan have one of the longest names you will see on any shirt the world over, apologies Jan Venegoor of Hesselink, but he has also picked a maverick number for the rest of the season in Europe.
We never got to see this side of the man while he was locked in a cupboard at Old Trafford.
We won’t have to worry about which shirt PEA is going to wear in Europe as Arsenal smartly bought a player who was ineligible to play in the Europa League as he already turned out in the competition for Dortmund this season.
And they don’t have Giroud to rely on any more.
I guess that’s why Wenger broke the club transfer record to buy Alexandre Lacazette in the summer, right?
