WATCH: Spurs announce Lucas Moura signing with throwback handshake video

Lucas Moura finally officially became a Spurs player and they announced with a nod back to his time playing with Serge Aurier

We can’t decide if this is the best or worst announcement video of the January transfer window.

Spurs officially announced they had signed Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee reported to be around £25million.

The Brazilian joins Spurs after falling out of favour in Paris with a galaxy of more expensive stars pushing him further down the pecking order.

But on his day the pacy winger has a lot to offer and other than Heung Min Son, and Erik Lamela when he is fit, Mauricio Pochettino has relativley few options out wide.

At one point PSG lined up with Moura on the right supported by Serge Aurier behind him, and the pair definitely had quite a good friendship.

Especially if you watch this video.

One of the favoured rock, paper, scissors handshakes that are actually quite rare these days.

They are often far more complex.

Well, Spurs have done a cheeky throwback to these hand shenanigans in their Moura announcement video.

The reaction to the tweet is what you might called, mixed.

Once you get past the droves of people saying Spurs have finally replaced Andros Townsend, the rest of the comments seem to be fans that are bewildered as to why the club has released a handshake video.

Thankfully the busy world of Twitter have been quick to explain that it is an ITK throwback to their time together at PSG.

Daniel Levy strikes again

To be fair to Daniel Levy, despite leaving it late once again, getting a Brazil international from PSG in the January transfer window for £25million in today’s market is it a bit of a coup.

And with Man United, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea all making big moves this window it’s good to see Spurs keeping up.

The spotlight is on you Liverpool.
