TOTTENHAM are reportedly closing in on the signing of Lucas Moura after the Brazilian was alleged to have held talks with the club in London today.
The 25-year-old winger has been linked with a host of clubs this month after confirming he wanted to quit Paris Saint-Germain.
Manchester United and Liverpool were both keen on the star, but it appears Spurs have stolen a march on their Prem rivals.
And RMC Sport claim that he met Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to thrash out a move to the capital.
Spurs are believed to be wanting to bring Moura to England initially on loan.
However, the latest report says that PSG are only interested in a permanent switch but have lowered their valuation to £22million.
The South American has cut a frustrated figure at Parc Des Princes in recent months after falling out of favour.
He has only managed to play 76 minutes all season in Ligue 1 and is desperate to leave in search of more action.
And the prospect of joining an exciting and young Tottenham side under Mauricio Pochettino is certainly appealing.
Moura and the rest of the PSG squad were given the day off on Thursday following their victory over Guingamp in the French Cup the previous evening.
That allowed him and his representatives to make the short trip over the Channel to discuss the potential transfer.
Speaking to media from his homeland, Moura did not hold back when discussing his future.
He said: “I do not think I’m going to stay.
“Unfortunately, it’s the end for me in Paris. I like the English championship.
“The English league is the most hotly contested in the world, it’s going to depend (on several factors).
“I’m going to sit down with my family and see what God has decided for me.”
