Arsenal switch attention to PSG attacker after failing to lure Malcom

Brazilian winger has made only six appearances this season following the big money arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe

ARSENAL are reported to be keen on Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura.

The Gunners were in hot pursuit of Bordeaux’s Malcom but Tottenham appear to have taken  the initiative on that one.

PSG boss Unai Emery has made it clear he does not see 25-year-old Moura featuring in his future plans.

He said: “Is there a chance that I stay this winter? I do not think so.

“With what the coach has said, it looks like this is the end of my Paris story.

“I have offers but I cannot talk about them. I like English football very much, it is truly one of the best leagues in the world.”

Arsenal hope to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and, of course, Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the next day or two.

Moura could help fill a void in the right side of Arsenal’s midfield after they sold Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool in the summer.

They followed up by letting Theo Walcott join Everton last week .

It seems Arsenal would prefer a loan deal with a view to a permanent move for Moura.

In return PSG hope to recoup some money by selling the Brazilian on a permanent basis.
