Middlesbrough fan arrested for urinating in QPR keeper’s water bottle

The video appears to shows a fan in the away end at Loftus Road urinating into Alex Smithies' water bottle

There’s always someone who takes it too far.

A Middlesbrough fan allegedly urinated in QPR keeper Alex Smithies’ water bottle before throwing it back onto the pitch.

YouTube channel Football Away Days posted a 17 second video that appears to show a fan in the away end at Loftus Road relieving himself into a bottle before resealing it and tossing it behind the goal.

It is not known whether or not Smithies then drank from the water bottle.

The fan was ejected by stewards and has been arrested in relation to the incident.

It should go without saying that this ‘banter’ is not clever in the slightest and is totally unacceptable.

Middlesbrough won the game 3-0 thanks to goals from Daniel Ayala, George Friend and Adama Traore.

A reminder to fans everywhere — don’t take the piss.

Let’s hope Smithies stayed clear of the offending bottle
