However, the German, 24, has attracted interest from across Europe this term and Juve are thought to be leading the race, but, according to Tuttosport, Bayern are attempting to hijack the player’s move to Italy.

Tuttosport reports Juventus must hurry if they are to capture the midfielder as rivals begin to circle.

Juventus have publicly declared their interest in the midfielder and it seems an agreement is just around the corner.

He told Sky Sports News: “I still have a contract here until the end of the season.

“I give everything for the club, I will try to give everything for the club.

“The rest is down to my agent, and I’m just responsible for performances on the pitch.

“Of course, if I have a contract I will always give my best, or I will try to give my best.”

Liverpool have already struck a deal to land Naby Keita from RB Leipzig this summer, but would ideally like to partner him with Can if possible.
