Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.
Much like Simeone Zaza last season, Javier Hernandez is reportedly heading out the door at West Ham – having only joined the club in the summer.
Turkish giants Besiktas are favourites to snap up the unwanted striker in a deal that will cost West Ham a £8.5million loss.
The Mexican striker joined the Hammers from Bayer Leverkusen in a £16m deal over the summer.
But according to Goal, Besiktas are closing in on a measly £7.5m switch for him, after a torrid spell at the London Stadium.
The 29-year-old has only scored four times and has not found the net since October.
And it’s only got worse for him since David Moyes arrived at the club back in November.
The ex-Manchester United star has been used mainly as a sub and is struggling to impress the Scotsman, much like he did when they worked together at Old Trafford.
Hernandez, however, insists he is keen to stay with the Hammers and earn his place.
He said: “[The reports] are completely false. I am 100 per cent committed to helping improve the situation we are all experiencing at West Ham. I have not asked to leave West Ham at any time.”
