CHINESE SUPER LEAGUE side Tianjin Quanjian are watching the developments surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future carefully, according to reports in Italy.
The Portuguese superstar’s current contract doesn’t run out in 2021 and he wants to open talks on a new deal.
Ronaldo would like parity with Lionel Messi, who is the best-paid footballer in the world, but Real Madrid won’t entertain that for now.
And Sky Sport Italia report that Tianjin would be interested in signing the five-time Ballon d’Or-winner should the opportunity arise.
It is understood Ronaldo — at this moment in time — wants to leave the Bernabeu, and would prefer a return to Manchester United.
While there also been reports of a sensational swap deal with Paris Saint-Germain, which would involve Neymar heading to the Bernabeu.
Ronaldo’s form has dipped dramatically this season, as Real Madrid have fallen out of the title race already.
However, he is still the club’s top goal scorer in all competitions, with 16 so far.
Tianjin finished last season in third place under Fabio Cannavaro and qualified for the Asian Champions League.
They also tried to sign Wayne Rooney and Diego Costa in 2017, but were unsuccessful in their attempts.
