Neymar’s performance basically broke the internet with swathes of Twitter demanding he be elevated to GOAT status immediately.
They all had a fair point as Paris’ maestro showed the footballing world that he plays the game on a different level to mere mortals.
Even the notoriously critical French magazine L’Equipe couldn’t help but award the Brazilian a perfect 10 for his stellar performance.
It was only the second time in the history of the magazine they have awarded top marks for a virtuouso Ligue 1 display.
The Brazil captain scored his first PSG hat trick and added a late penalty to leave Dijon licking their wounds.
Neymar set up a goal for Angel Di Maria in the 15th minute making him the first player in Europe to provide 10 assists.
He added another to his tally when he rolled a through ball for Kylian Mbappe to power home for the team’s seventh goal.

Before 2014, L’Equipe had never awarded anyone a 10 for a league performance.
Then Neymar’s fellow Brazilian Carlos Eduardo finally reached the holy land for his performance in Nice’s 7-2 win against Guingamp four years ago.
Eduardo scored five in that game pretty much forcing L’Equipe’s hand – the season after he moved to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
When Neymar traded in Barcelona for Paris in the summer the world was shocked.
Not only was it a surprise to see any player in their prime leave Barca for Paris, La Liga for Ligue 1, but the Parisians also paid a world record £200million fee for the 25-year-old’s services.
Whether you like PSG and Neymar or not, there is no better sight than top players performing to their absolute peak.
Bring on the World Cup.
