PSG are waltzing completely unchallenged to the Ligue 1 title.
But they’re still getting a little help from the officials.
During their 1-0 win over Claudio Ranieri’s resolute Nantes side on Sunday night, the French moneybags benefited from one of the most peculiar refereeing decisions of all time.
Nantes star Diego Carlos was catching up with a PSG attack when he appeared to inadvertently knock referee Tony Chapron off his feet.
But Chapron didn’t interpret it that way.
Instead, not only did Chapron try to kick out in retaliation at Carlos – but he sent him off too:
Once Chapron got back to his feet he showed Carlos his second yellow card of the game, giving him his marching orders in injury time.
PSG weren’t at their best but Angel di Maria’s early goal was enough for them to extend their lead at the top.
The Parisiens are a whopping 11 points clear of Monaco in second having lost just once all season.
