If you believe everything you hear then Philippe Coutinho is 99% a Barelona player.
The Liverpool star looks finally set to get his wish granted with a move to the Catalans giants this month after a number of mega-money bids were rejected in the summer.
It would see Barca snap up one of the finest playmakers in world football to join the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele in a fearsome frontline.
So why haven’t Real Madrid ever shown a true interest?
Well that’s the question on the lips of Alvaro Morata, apparently.
According to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, Morata has made contact with former club Real to warn them about the damage Coutinho’s arrival at Barca could do.
The Spanish striker has come face to face with the Brazilian magician already this season and is acutely aware of his powers.
And according to the reports, Morata believes Barca’s new signing could make things very difficult for his boyhood club.
The Catalans currently hold a nine-point lead at the top of La Liga but are a massive 14 clear of their great rivals, who are way down in fourth.
They also comprehensively beat Real 3-0 at the Bernabeu before Christmas to all but end their title challenge.
So will Coutinho’s arrival rubber stamp Barca’s dominance?
