And according to The Guardian Aaron Ramsey is moving to Turin after 10 years with Arsenal following some of the most cack-handed contract talks you’re likely to see.
But let’s take a deep dive into the tradition, cranking up that time machine and heading all the way back to the 2009/10 season.
Fabio Cannavaro joined from Real Madrid, spending one season in Turin before finishing his career in Dubai.
The following season Luca Toni arrived from Genoa for what would ultimately be an unhappy season.
A shaky start on the free transfer front, we’re sure you’ll agree.
But better was to come.
In the summer of 2011 Juventus convinced Andrea Pirlo to move to Turin, having been discarded by AC Milan.
Far from being done, Pirlo would go on to win four consecutive league titles, two Italian Super Cups and one Coppa Italia trophy.
Next up was Paul Pogba, who joined from Man United, won four league titles and moved back to Manchester for a profit of £89.3million.
Fernando Llorente followed and while he wasn’t an undisputed starter he did win three league titles in Turin, as well as three domestic trophies.
The 2014/15 campaign saw Kingsley Coman persuaded to leave PSG in search of first-team opportunities.
Again, he wasn’t a particularly prolific starter, making just 15 Serie A appearances, however he was sold on for profit to Bayern Munich having won the treble.
You might be getting bored of Juventus’ success in the free transfer market, but it didn’t stop there.
World Cup winner Sami Khedira is still at the club, winning two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia trophies to date.
Dani Alves came then through the door in 2016, picking up a Serie A title and a Coppa Italia trophy before heading to the riches of PSG.
In the summer Emre Can slotted into the Juve midfield after reaching the Champions League final with Liverpool.
No pressure then Aaron.
