Poor poor Alexis Sanchez.
Not only has he been held hostage at Arsenal this season, he is not playing Champions League football in his peak year.
To make matters worse the 28-year-old will not be at the World Cup next summer after Chile failed to qualify.
And now even his teammates are sticking the knife in on social media.
Maybe he could take it if it was Mesut Ozil or Alexandre Lacazette.
You know, actually good players who are top members of the squad.
No, this tweet came all the way from the subs bench to roast Sanchez.
Mohamed ElNeny, for reasons unknown to us, just sent a startling reminder to the Chilean that he won’t be at football’s biggest roadshow in the summer.
There’s absolutely no need for that.
There already appears to be a bit of animosity between Sanchez and the rest of the squad, with half the team not celebrating his goal against Crystal Palace.
And ElNeny’s tweet might cause further ruptures between those going to the World Cup and Sanchez, who is desperate for a move away from the Emirates.
It is the last thing Arsene Wenger will want to see with the January transfer just round the corner.
With teammates like this, who needs enemies?
- Mesut Ozil pulled off the mother of all nutmegs on Danny Welbeck before Crystal Palace match
- Hector Bellerin is slowly overtaking Juan Mata as the nicest man in football
- This stat proves Pep Guardiola was right to call Spurs the ‘Harry Kane team’
