Chelsea boss Antonio Conte refused to respond to Thierry Hazard’s claims that his son had turned down a new contract.
The Blues chief has seen his star player linked with a move to Real Madrid – and fans are concerned.
But speaking ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Stoke, Conte would not provide any reassurance.
He said: “My answer is always the same. This is a private conversation between the club, the player and his agent.
“I’m proud to have him in my team, in my squad.
“He’s a really good guy with a lot of space for improvement, I am happy to work with him.”
Hazard’s dad told Le Soir: “What I can reveal about Eden is that he refused a contract extension.
“This was so that, if necessary, he could follow the interest of Real, whom he could see himself playing for.
“As of right now, there is no contact from Real Madrid. Eden is only one of the parties involved in his future.”
Hazard’s international team-mate Thibaut Courtois has also been linked with Real.
Conte, 48, added: “You are talking about two important players for us.
“It would be great to continue with these types of players, especially if you have the ambition to compete for something important”
