ARSENAL have been told to cough up £40million if they want Julian Draxler.
The Gunners have made another move for Paris St Germain’s forward and contacted the French club over his availability.
Draxler, 24, is seen as the ideal replacement for Alexis Sanchez if he were to move next month.
Arsenal will go to £30m for a player they have tried to sign in the past — but have indicated that they will only buy if they sell Sanchez.
The Chilean star, 29, is keen on a move to Manchester City in January and Arsenal may cash in if they can get £40m.
Arsene Wenger is willing to sell the player — who is out of contract in the summer — but only if he can secure a suitable replacement first.
Draxler is open to a move after falling out of the PSG first team following the arrival of world record signing Neymar.
The German World Cup winner, who has 40 caps, is keen to kick-start his career and a move to Liverpool is also an option.
Wenger has two other players he is watching but Draxler is first choice.
