This was a real sliding doors moment.
On Sunday, Liverpool had just been put ahead after Mohamed Salah’s moment of magic in the Merseyside derby against Everton.
But just minutes after the Egyptian’s strike the Reds should have been home and hosed before half time.
Sadio Mane broke free but with three team-mates, including Salah, available for a tap in to his right, the Senegalese forward opted to shoot and fired wide.

Of course we all know Liverpool would go onto only draw a game they totally dominated after Wayne Rooney’s late penalty snatched a point for the Toffees.
And tunnel footage from half time of the game shows an exchange between Salah and Mane.
Salah, as you can see, appears to be lecturing his team-mate, perhaps pointing out his mistake.
It might be the only blunder the duo have made all season so far – but it was a costly one at that.
Salah has taken English football by storm, racking up 19 goals in 24 appearances since his move to Liverpool in the summer.
And Mane has been effective too given his injury and suspension problems, notching seven goals and six assists.
But every Liverpool fan will regret his decision not to add to Salah’s tally on Sunday.
