REAL MADRID are reportedly set to swoop for Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris at the end of the season.
The La Liga giants will be ready to tempt him from London if the Spurs fail to once again win silverware.
The Mirror report a fiercely ambitious Lloris wants to win a major trophy and his chances are fading at Tottenham.
Lloris has been loyal to the North London club since he signed from Lyon in 2012 but hasn’t won one of the top prizes during his five-year stint.
And after a promising start, Spurs are all but out of the Premier League title race and rest all their hopes on the FA Cup or Champions League for major honours.
He will celebrate his 31st birthday on boxing day but could still have more than half a decade left at the top level.
The report values Lloris for £25million which would see him as a much cheaper option for Los Blancos than Man United’s David de Gea.
It would take upwards of £60m to prise the Spaniard – who was previously thought to be Real’s top choice – from Old Trafford.
Along with the hope of silverware, Real’s boss could help tempt Lloris to the Bernabeu – if he survives his current struggles at the club.
World cup and European champion Zinedine Zidane is an icon in France and his country mate Lloris would find it hard not to listen to his offers.
