If you haven’t heard about Bitcoin by now where have you been?
Banks are so 2016. Cash? The 1950s called and they want their legal tender back.
Yep, it’s all about cryptocurrency now, as Sam Allardyce proved in his Everton press conference this afternoon.
Allardyce was asked about regrets in his presser.
Now, just to jog your memory, this is a man who only lasted one game as England manager before allegations of ‘malpractice’ saw him step down.
So you’d be forgiven for thinking that would be at the forefront of his mind when talking about regrets.
But Big Sam is a progressive thinker, despite what some people would have you believe.
The 63-year-old explained: “Bitcoin- I wish I’d invested in that. Started at 1000 it’s 14,000 now.”
Not strictly true I’m afraid.
Bitcoin is currently trading at around $15,800, although that number has been changing rapidly.
But Big Sam isn’t the only cryptocurrency mover and shaker from the football world.
Over to you, Lionel Messi.
