With laces or without laces. With socks or without sock. That’s before we’ve even start talking about colours.
Trying to find a subtle boot isn’t an easy task in today’s market, especially among professional footballers.

But Romelu Lukaku broke the mould when Man United travelled to Watford.
Lukaku laced up some black boots to take on Watford, which went down a treat with those people watching at home.
You stay classy Romelu.
But was there a deeper reason than simple aesthetics?
Lukaku wore a pair of adidas X 17.1 boots during United’s previous game- a narrow 1-0 win against Brighton.
However against Watford Lukaku wore Nike boots, which he’d attempted to colour in with black marker pen.
So has Lukaku switched from adidas to Nike?
Or did he just forget his boots in Manchester and need to borrow a pair off one of his team-mates?
We highly doubt it, given the size of Lukaku’s feet.
